I've been playing real cribbage for years, and this game comes the closest to a live experience. Just don't use the "Pro" setting, which is stupid. You'll lose every time. The standard setting provides more realistic hands, where muggins and the choice of discards can actually influence the outcome. I like the pace at which this game plays.

Unbearably artificial and not random. In pro mode there is almost always an artificial evening up at around 80 to 90 points and again in the last couple of hands. I have played this game for probably 10 years now and it gets more and more manufactured all the time. it is not realistic to get so many double runs and high point hands in a row (8,12,16,16) The obvious weighting has become unbearable. I am uninstalling it.

This is a great game to learn on, especially when you're trying to get pegging down. It gets a little boring at the more "difficult" levels since it's not actually difficult to play against. All it does is stack the deck so that it can get several double runs of 3 or 4 (or double double runs of 3) to get ahead or get wildly amazing cribs unless you don't play what it considers optimally. Lowered to 1 star: the deck stacking is too much.
